We partner with more than 17,000 incredible sugarcane farmers across the Transmara region. In this rural part of Kenya, our partnership with these farmers secures a more stable income which affords them a better quality of life for their families. Some farmers have been able to invest in permanent housing, vehicles and other entrepreneurial endeavours.
Transmara farmers also have access to localised support from our extension officers and regional offices.
Our ultimate goal is to train 1,200 farmers every year. More training for farmers means empowering them with the technical skills and agricultural knowledge to increase their yield and profits.
