Job vacancy: Transport Assistant Manager
Transmara Sugar Company is looking for a Transport Assistant Manager to join our Transport and Logistics Department at our mill in the Transmara region. This is a hands-on leadership role, which includes supervising haulage fleets and ensuring the efficient delivery of sugarcane from the fields to the factory, keeping our milling operations running without interruption.

Job purpose:
To supervise haulage fleets and transportation of cane from the fields to the factory within the required time.
Key tasks and responsibilities:
- Coordinate transport operations in all regions to ensure delivery of cane to the factory
- Prepare the transport program
- Ensure strict observance of cane transport regulations
- Ensure efficient delivery of milling cane to the factory
- Attend to issues related to farmers, transporters and cane-cutter contractors
- Ensure continuous availability of adequate milling cane during factory operations
What we are looking for:
- Diploma or degree in Transport, Logistics or Business Management
- Valid driving licence
- Strong management and computer skills
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
- Good communication skills, as you will work closely with farmers, transporters and cane cutters
